The St. Peter and Paul Church in Weimar, site of our many cantata performances

This is the restored Church of St. Peter and Paul (also known as the Herderkirche)
where Bach's sons were baptized.

The afternoon before our final Cantata performance of BWV 172, 12 and 21.
The baptismal fount where CPE Bach and WF Bach were baptized.
The church registry, which documented the baptism of the Bach sons.
Godfather GP Telmann and godson CPE Bach.
Our wonderful soloists from Germany, the USA and Chile before the rehearsal.
Rehearsal in the church with Helmuth – altar under construction!
Cantata performance -- Great concentration on the German text!
Elated and teary singers following the performance....
A relaxed and somewhat fatigued Helmuth surrounded by the soloists!
Orchestra and audience members mingling after the concert.
The next morning – one final breakfast together!
Happy but tired singers!
A final good by aus Weimar!

And the saying on our hotel:

Das ist das Angenehme auf Reisen,
dass auch das Gewöhnliche durch
Neuheit und Überraschung
das Ansehen eines Abenteurers gewinnt

That is the pleasant thing about travel,
that also the ordinary
gains a view of adventure
through novelty and surprise.
                                                            Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
